So today and yesterday I was manning the Real Ale society stall at my uni's freshers fair as this year I am President!

We had around 200 people sign up, which is mad and far too many people to take on pub crawls around Oxford! But we have ways of keeping things under control. 

Last year the society kind of fell apart and almost didn't exist this year until we decided to jump in and take it over, and now that we are running it we want to make it great! Some stuff we will be doing over the year:

- Affiliate with CAMRA for discounted membership

- Discounted entry to the Oxford Beer Festival (which is an amazing beer festival!)

- Putting on our own beer festival at our uni (yikes!)

- Creating our own pub guide to Oxford in both paper and video format!

- Brewery tours and open evenings

- Food & ale tastings

- Meals out

- Weekly pub crawls and pub quizzes

It is going to be really fun and a great way for us to enjoy our last year and for some of the newbies to enjoy their first!
